It was an absolute joy working with Hayley from The Bloom + Twiggery to develop the logo, branding and packaging for her floristry business.
Hayley not only creates the most gorgeous dried foral bouquets but also embraces sustainability in her floristry businesses by supporting local growers and suppliers. Where possible she tries to buy Australian grown natives (which as you know hold a special place in my heart).
Hayley approached me seeking a professional logo that spoke to her brand values of high quality, low maintenance, hand-made dried blooms for corporate gifting or home and office decor. We started with a brand questionaire to clarify her brand vision, purpose and target market then dove into a phone consult where we discussed her answers and clarified our action plan. After our chat we had such a clear vision for her brand that it only took two concepts and we had her logo then a bit of tweeking and refinement to get it just the way she liked it.
The result was a simple “no fuss” line illustrated bouquet of some of Hayley’s favourite blooms, the billy button, protea, eucalyptus leaf and twiggery to balance it out. The final logo is a simple and classic black and white design however we also explored brand colours which will be applied to supporting brand elements.
In addition to the logo and business cards we also discussed how Hayley could apply her sustainability initiatives into her packaging and marketing material which include floristry paper, twine, gift tags, gift cards and stickers.
I offered recomendations for recyclable and compostable materials, local eco-minded printers and design strategies to reduce waste and save money and resources.
